<므브프- 진동하는 몸, 촉각적인 순간, 교차하는 주파수>

‘므브프’ 는 입술의 떨림, 입안에 가득찬 공기, 전해지는 울림, 입이 움직이는 방향대로 달라지는 소리를 구분할 때 배우는 말이다. 므- 가 입술에 힘을 주지 않고 편안하게 뱉는다면, 공기를 한 단계 더 세게 내뱉으면 브-가 되고 다시 공기를 한 단계 더 뱉으면 온몸을 쥐어짜내서 프-가 된다. 이것은 소리를 구분하는 훈련법인 동시에 진동하는 몸이 되어가는 과정이다.

은설과 백구는 보이는 소리에 관심이 있다.

은설은 움직임, 색깔, 사물의 형태에서 눈으로 소리를 본다. 사물의 형태, 질감을 만져야 소리를 느낀다. 백구는 소리의 모양새를 그리기 좋아하고 소리를 같이 듣는 순간을 만드는 것에 흥미가 있다. 은설과 백구는 서로가 가지고 있는 소리의 감각을 꺼내놓고 공놀이 하듯 주고 받는 만남을 가져왔다. 진동을 하면 할수록 울림이 어디서 오고 어디로 가는걸까? 각자 갖고 있는 자기만의 소리의 감각을 교차시켜보면 어떤 순간이 발생할까?

‘므브프’는 진동하는 몸과 촉각적인 소리, 내 안에 축적되어 있는 소리의 기억을 교차시켜보는 워크숍이자 참여형 퍼포먼스다.

M-B-P: Vibrating Body, Tactile Moments, Intersecting Frequencies

“M-B-P” are the sounds that we learn when we need to distinguish the sounds that change according to the vibration of lips, air filled inside the mouth, resonance that is conveyed, or the movement of the mouth. “M” sound is uttered when the lips are relaxed, while “B” sound is made when the air is spat out in a more tense manner, and when you take up the tension a notch, “P” is pronounced. This is a training method for distinguishing sounds as well as a process of becoming a vibrating body.

Eunseol and 109 (Baekgu) are interested in visible sounds.

Eunseol views sound with eyes from movements, colours, and the shape of objects. She feels sound by touching the shape and texture of an object. 109 likes to draw the look of a sound, and is interested in creating the shared moment of listening to sounds together. Eunseol and 109 held meetings to take out their respectives senses of sound and exchanging them as though they were playing with a ball. Where does resonance come and go when we vibrate more and more? What kind of moment occurs when we intersect their own sense of sound with one another?

“M-P-P” is a workshop and participatory performance, in which we intersect vibrating body, tactile sounds, and the memories of sound that are accumulated within oneself.
